Nursery Curriculum

At St Thomas More Catholic Primary School, we value and cherish every child as a unique individual and a beloved child of God. We also deeply respect parents and carers as their child’s first and most important educators, and we are committed to working in close partnership with you to help your child settle in, feel secure, and thrive in their learning journey.

Our setting is led by a team of qualified and passionate Early Years practitioners who are dedicated to supporting each child's development with care and professionalism. We offer continuous, free-flow provision where children can move confidently between indoor and outdoor spaces, enabling them to feel safe, happy, and engaged.

Our goal is to nurture confident, independent, and self-motivated learners who make strong progress across the Early Years Foundation Stage. All activities and experiences are carefully planned to reflect the children’s interests and individual stages of development, recognising that every child is unique and learns in their own way.

The nursery is housed in a spacious, purpose-built double classroom and benefits from a large outdoor garden. Our outdoor area includes a climbing frame, mud kitchen, bike track, raised planting beds, and a large wooden playhouse all designed to support physical development, creativity, and exploration.

This well-equipped and nurturing environment provides an excellent foundation and a smooth transition into Reception when the time comes.
