Nursery

We are delighted to offer Nursery provision for children aged 2 and 3 here at our school.

Age 2-The Ark

The Ark has been carefully designed with the care and nurture of two year olds in mind. It is part of
the St Thomas More Early Years Foundation Stage Unit. As a Catholic School, The Ark welcomes the
unique qualities of every child and every aspect of The Ark is guided by our school motto ‘Do all that
you do with love’.
The environment and continuous provision activities are focused around high quality texts and
encourage learning through play, promote speech, language and build vocabulary, they also spark
curiosity and critical thinking skills.
Rhymes, singing and story time all play an important role in The Ark, with daily opportunities for all.
The outdoor space is inviting and extends learning to continue outside, featuring a range of planting
to help care for, access to scooters and bikes for developing gross motor skills and a well-stocked
mud kitchen area.
