Nursery
We are delighted to offer Nursery provision for children aged 2 and 3 here at our school.
The Ark (aged 2)
The Ark has been carefully designed with the care and nurture of two-year-old children in mind. It is part of the St Thomas More Early Years Foundation Stage Unit. As a part of a Catholic School, The Ark welcomes the unique qualities of every child. Every aspect of The Ark is guided by our school motto 'Do all that you do with love.' Continuous provision is focused around high-quality texts which promote speech, language and the development of vocabulary. Rhymes, singing and story time all play an important role in The Ark.
The outdoor space is inviting and extends learning to continue outside. Children have access to scooters and bikes for developing gross motor skills and a well-stocked mud kitchen area.
The Ark is a caring and nurturing environment and ignites curiosity and the foundations for learning through play. This supports children in their transition to our nursery, and ensures that they arrive as inquisitive and active learners, helping them to feel settled and ready to explore all the wonderful learning opportunities that our nursery has to offer for their next steps.
