Our remote learning offer is designed to enable pupils to access a broad and balanced curriculum and to make progress in line with their peers in school.

Our Remote Learning Platforms

To support learning at home, we use the following online resources:

• Oak National Academy – provides high-quality curriculum lessons and resources that complement our planned curriculum and support pupils in continuing their learning.
• Times Tables Rock Stars – enables pupils to develop fluency and recall of multiplication and division facts through engaging practice and regular retrieval.
• Spelling Shed – supports the teaching of spelling through interactive activities linked to the school's spelling programme.

Communication with Families

During periods of remote learning, we will use ParentHub as our primary communication platform. Through ParentHub, we will:

• Share information about remote learning arrangements.
• Provide updates and guidance for parents and carers.
• Communicate any changes to learning expectations or school arrangements.
• Signpost families to additional support and resources where appropriate.

Parents and carers are encouraged to check ParentHub regularly to ensure they receive the latest information and communications from the school.

Accessing Remote Learning

Where remote education is required, teachers will:

• Provide learning that is closely aligned to the curriculum being taught in school wherever possible.
• Set appropriate learning activities using our agreed online platforms and resources.
• Give clear instructions and expectations for completing work.
• Maintain regular communication with pupils and families throughout the period of remote learning.

Supporting Pupils and Families

We recognise that access to technology can vary between families. Where a pupil experiences barriers to accessing remote education, parents and carers are encouraged to contact the school as soon as possible so that we can discuss appropriate support.

Parents and carers play an important role in supporting remote learning by encouraging regular engagement with learning activities and helping children to establish a positive daily routine.

Our aim is to ensure that every pupil remains engaged with their education and continues to make good progress, whether learning in school or at home.
