In  English Year 4 , we explored the poem Let's Give a Cheer for Onomatopoeia by John Foster. The children enjoyed listening to the poet read the poem before reading it themselves. They had great fun spotting onomatopoeic words and reading with expression. A fun and engaging lesson!
