Year 1 learned about the instruments used to measure wind. We made our own windsocks and tested them outside to see how windy it was. We discovered that today’s wind was breezy and strong, making it a perfect day for our weather investigation!

We celebrated our Start of Year Mass together in church. Year 6 led the readings, prayers and offertory beautifully, and it was wonderful to welcome Reception to their first Mass. A big thank you to our musicians, tech team and altar servers.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminded us to forgive others and always do all that we do with love. ✝️❤️

Year 4 continued developing their column addition skills. The children worked in pairs to create their own calculations before using Dienes equipment to represent and solve them. It was wonderful to see such great mathematical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork in action. Well done, Year 4!

Year 4 have been exploring Pointillism, using a variety of tools to create dots and textures. They also learned about optical mixing, discovering how placing primary colours close together can create the illusion of secondary colours. The children are now ready to use these skills in their final artwork.
